Iranian and Pakistani FMs hold telephone conversation

On Friday afternoon Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Pakistani counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani had a telephone conversation.
Tehran-ISNA- Amirabdollahian spoke about the Pakistani elections and congratulated Pakistan's foreign minister on holding the vote successfully. He expressed hope that following the formation of parliament, the prime minister and cabinet members of Pakistan will be picked and they will start working officially.
The Iranian foreign minister pointed to the issues over which Tehran and Islamabad have agreed during his recent visit to Islamabad, stressing the importance of the relationship between the organizations tasked with pursuing and implementing the agreements in both countries.
The top Pakistani diplomat for his part voiced hope that the next week's Parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections will be held successfully in Iran. Jilani outlined the process of forming the government and introducing the prime minister in Pakistan. He then said the Islamic Republic of Iran has a high place in the foreign policy of Pakistan which is beyond the internal developments of the country.
Jilani added that everyone in Pakistan is waiting for the visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to the country.
The foreign ministers of Iran and Pakistan discussed the developments in Gaza as well and the Pakistani side welcomed Iran's proposal that the foreign ministers of the Islamic countries hold an emergency meeting to stop the genocide in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
