Iran's Parliament Speaker aligns with the positions of the Palestinian Resistance that no ceasefire would be considered acceptable unless the Israeli aggression on Gaza stops.

Tehran (ISNA) - In the aftermath of the Israeli assassination of IRGC military advisor martyr Seyyed Razi Mousavi in Syria, Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a stern warning to the United States and Israel, cautioning that any harm inflicted on the Resistance front will cost them "dearly".

"I should emphasize that any act of aggression against the commanders or the physical infrastructures of the resistance (front) will cost the US and the Zionists dearly," Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf warned during a parliamentary session on Sunday.

Strongly condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, Ghalibaf asserted that the more crimes the Israeli occupation commits, the closer it edges toward defeat.

He further aligned with the positions of the "courageous leaders of the Palestinian Resistance" that no ceasefire would be considered acceptable unless Israeli airstrikes cease entirely and all Palestinian prisoners are released in exchange for the release of Israeli captives held in Gaza.

On Saturday, Iranian Interior Minister, Ahmad Vahidi confirmed to Al Mayadeen that IRGC military advisor Brigadier General Seyyed Razi Mousavi, who was assassinated by an Israeli airstrike in Syria a couple of days ago, was an official mission and was brutally targeted in broad daylight.

Vahidi considered that Israel's assassination of martyr Mousavi is the result of the desperation and impotence that it is experiencing, highlighting the Israeli occupation's disregard for any international laws or ethical principles.
