Iran's new hypersonic missile unveiled

During visit of the Iran's Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces, "Fattah 2" hypersonic missile, latest achievements of the IRGC's aerospace force unveiled.
Tehran (ISNA) - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei toured an exhibition showing the latest achievements of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force in a visit to the Ashura Aerospace University of Science & Technology on Sunday.
During this visit, latest achievements of the IRGC's aerospace force unveiled, Fattah 2 hypersonic missile unveiled.
Hypersonic missiles move at five times the speed of sound or greater and are manoeuvrable, making them difficult for defence systems and radars to target.
Only 4 countries including the Islamic Republic of Iran, have the technology of this type of hypersonic weapons.
Iran unveiled its first-ever hypersonic missile, Fattah, on June 2023 which can penetrate missile defence systems and will give it a military edge.
