Iran's Air Force to manufacture drones on its own: Commander

Hamedan, IRNA -- Commander of Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi says that the force is to manufacture drones that have been previously supplied by other branches of the Iranian armed forces.
Vahedi said late on Monday that the drones planned to be manufactured by the the IRIAF will include Kaman-12 and Kaman-22 models that were previously supplied by Iranian defense ministry industries.
Speaking on the sidelines of a ceremony in the western city of Hamedan, the commander said the IRIAF will soon unveil its achievements in the field of drone manufacturing.
He said the Iranian Air Force will continue to improve its operational capacities by expanding and modernizing its fleet.
