
Iran's electricity consumption breaks all-time record

Tehran, IRNA -- Iran's Electricity Industry Spokesperson Mustafa Rajabi has said that the electricity usage in the country has broken a record.
Rajabi said that peak demand for electricity in Iran reached 73,450 megawatts on Sunday which shows 5.7 percent growth compared to last year's corresponding period.
That broke the record of 69,500 megawatts set in the last corresponding period, he added.
Pointing to the new record of electricity usage in the country, he noted that the new records in electricity usage indicate that electricity consumption in the country is high.
