Kanaani says path of technical negotiations between Iran, IAEA continues

Tehran (ISNA) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Nasser Kanaani expressed hope that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) would be committed to the technical path in its talks with Iran.
Speaking at a weekly press conference on Monday, Kanaani said, "The path of dialogue and technical negotiations between Iran and the Agency continues and we hope that the Agency would be committed to the technical path and we witness the IAEA would do its best to stay away from political influences and political pressures".
Elsewhere in his remarks, the spokesman noted, "Iran's policy toward Afghanistan is not ambiguous and contradictory, rather this policy is crystal clear".
"As we announced previously, we have a principled and clear policy toward Afghanistan, and our policy has clear components," he added.
Kanaani also announced that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has invited Saudi King to visit Tehran.
"President Raisi has accepted the invitation of the Saudi King, and in return, he has invited the king to travel to Tehran," he said.
Regarding Iran-Azerbaijan relations, Kanaani said, "The relations between Iran and Azerbaijan have enemies that the Zionist regime is one of them".
"Since the Zionist regime has defined its survive in creating insecurity and instability, it always tries to create discord, division and instability among the countries of the region," he added.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran underlines establishing good neighborliness and friendly relations and mutual respect and focusing on common interests," Kanaani went on to say.
