Isfahan, IRNA -- Vice president and head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said that nuclear centers and industries are assumed to be highly guarded, and high security places, as Iran pursues open innovations in that field.

Mohammad Eslami who was speaking on Thursday for a large group of faculty members of Isfahan University, added that he enemy tries to intimidate the Islamic Republic of Iran and convince us to lose hope in entering the prohibited zone of becoming a world power.

He said that the advanced technologies are considered power creators, reiterating, "Now there is a kind of encountering of the world powers in the field of modern technologies and achieving advancement in them."

The AEOI chief added that under such conditions "we favor open innovations which everyone will know about them, and the ground, too, is quite paved for them".

"Research and innovation in this field, must be target-oriented, based on precise planning, and with clear strategies, so that we can proceed with it evolutionarily," said Eslami.

He said that the AEOI's strategies are pursued seriously and not merely based on slogans.

"Making the nuclear energy a security issue is the biggest threat against it, while in this field we can achieve practical and useful results based on good thoughts and innovations," added Eslami.
