Attempts at violating Iranian sovereignty won't go unanswered: Kanaani

Tehran (ISNA) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani stressed that attempts at violating the Iranian sovereignty will not go unanswered.

Reacting to the US move to adjust anti-Iran sanctions in order to expand the range of internet services available to Iranians amid the recent riots in the country, Kanaani wrote on his official Twitter account, "The US has always been after weakening Iran's security and stability — and of course, it has failed".

"By loosening some communications-related sanctions, while maintaining the maximum pressure, America is seeking to advance its own goals against Iran with hypocrisy," he added.

"Attempts at violating the Iranian sovereignty will not go unanswered," the spokesman emphasized.
