Tehran (ISNA) - The Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami at the head of a high-ranking delegation will depart for Vienna on Sunday to attend the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference.

The IAEA General Conference takes place in September each year at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in Vienna, Austria, where high-ranking officials and representatives from IAEA Member States will consider a range of issues.

Regarding the Conference and his attendance at the event, he said, "All countries have the right to work in the nuclear industry and this is the Agency's duty to facilitate accessibility of the countries to peaceful use of nuclear technology. We're committed to the resolution of safeguards issues and NPT as well".

"One of the points that I am going to refer to is unjust and repeated claims against Iran in the twenty past years. They claim that there are some places that are fabricated stories and are irrelevant to our government. In fact, those places are not nuclear facilities but the places belong to people," he added.

Mohammad Eslami noted, "During this trip, I will meet the IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. I hope that the talks will be facilitating to put an end to pressure and wrong claims against Iran".
