Tehran (ISAN) - Al Jazeera News Channel quoted an Iranian official as saying that Iran's response to the European Union's proposal had been realistic and professional while emphasizing that the possibility of reaching an agreement had increased as well.

The Iranian official noted, "Our response includes important points which serve our national interests. We're waiting for their response until Wednesday".

"Now it is time for the US to show its flexibility towards our response to the EU. We can say that the signs of reaching an agreement have increased and this is a positive move," he added.

The Iranian official emphasized, "During the recent round of Vienna talks, we've witnessed that America has changed its stances, and these changes should be stronger with their actions".

Earlier, Russian envoy to the Vienna talks Mikhail Ulyanov had announced that Iran's response to the EU's proposal was constructive, and the ball was in the US's court.

"It is not unlikely that a meeting at the ministerial level over the nuclear deal will be held soon," Ulyanov added.

He also noted, "Iranian officials yesterday responded to the EU's proposal, and in my opinion, their response is constructive. They are ready to sign an agreement if Americans accept the three conditions".

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Monday told reporters, "We're now exchanging messages with the American side over three subjects. We said clearly to the US that they should show flexibility. During the recent talks, they have somehow showed flexibility verbally, but it must be written. Another point is the guarantee issue with which the US should treat realistically. If we see such flexibility, we will reach an agreement in the coming days".
