Tehran (ISAN) - Permanent representative of Iran to the International Organization in Vienna Mohammad Reza Ghaebi declared, "The IAEA Director General's report does not reflect Iran's extensive cooperation with the Agency, and such an approach is unconstructive and harmful".

"The report concludes exactly what the IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi presented to the European parliament before the third round of technical talks or even ahead of the Iran-IAEA meeting," he added.

The report by Rafael Grossi claimed that Iran was continuing its enrichment of uranium to levels higher than the 3.67 percent limit in the landmark accord.

Regarding this report, Ghaebi noted, "Unfortunately, it ignores detailed, reasonable and technical arguments and instead calls them invalid. Also, it continues to rely on the agency's predetermined assumptions and presents its own unilateral conclusion".

"The Islamic Republic of Iran considers this approach unconstructive and harmful to the close relations and ongoing cooperation between Iran and the IAEA. Also, the International Atomic Energy Agency should realize the destructive consequences of publishing such unilateral reports, which could provide excuses for opponents of Iran-IAEA relations as well as the sworn critics of the revival of the JCPOA," he emphasized.
