Tehran (ISNA) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh referred to the latest atrocities of Zionist regime and desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque, saying, "Regarding the condemnation of recent incidents, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian sent a letter to the Secretary of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation".
Speaking at a weekly press conference on Monday, Khatibzadeh said, "We're witnessing the silence of the international community. Unfortunately, the process of normalization relations between certain Arab countries and the Zionist regime makes the regime expand their atrocities".
Khatibzadeh also stated, "Releasing Iran's frozen assets and resources is not up to any third country. Also, the US administration constantly makes efforts to interfere with issues related to Iran, and their manner shows that how different their attitude is with what US President Joe Biden has claimed".
Regarding the Vienna talks, the spokesman said, "The talks are held based on UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and no changes will occur to the JCPOA".
Khatibzadeh noted that Tehran and Washington have exchanged their views through EU Coordinator Enrique Mora.
"In the process of the Vienna talks, we are waiting for Washington's proper answer. The US has opted delayed-attitude during the talks," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman emphasized.
With regard to the Iran-Turkey relations, he said, "Iran-Turkey relations are a strategic, multi-layered and very long-lasting relation".
"Iran, Syria and Turkey endeavored to manage the Syria's crisis. We underscored the importance of respecting the integrity of the neighboring countries and international borders including Syria and Iraq," Khatibzadeh added.
Khatibzadeh went on to say, "We've had serious concerns about the eastern borders and the dialogue between our official borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan is based on this framework. Of course, we are fully aware of the intelligence and security in the region".
When asked about the latest interview of Ukrainian ambassador to Tehran and his claims, the spokesperson declared, "Iran's stance toward Ukraine's war is clear. It is better that the Ukrainian ambassador reviews his government's stance and the latest tweet of Ukraine's foreign ministry".
Regarding UK's plans to send some asylum seekers to Rwanda, Khatibzadeh said, "The plans are embarrassing. Sending asylum seekers to a third country by UK which claiming to defend human rights is not only against all international Conventions but also, it's incompatible with all humanitarian manners. Moreover, UK administration shirks its responsibility which is surprising and unacceptable".
