Iran, Oman hold naval drills in Strait of Hormuz

Bandar Abbas, IRNA -- Rescue and relief maneuvers were held by Iranian and Omani naval forces in Iranian territorial waters in Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman on Thursday.

The drills were staged following agreements reached in a Joint Military Friendship Committee of Iran and Oman.

Vessels of Iranian Navy, the Naval Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, the Iranian Coast Guard Police and Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization, as well as the Omani Navy were present in the maneuvers.

The drills were also participated by helicopters from both countries and UAVs from Iran.
