Ebrahim Raisi elected as Iran's new President

Tehran (ISNA) - Ebrahim Raisi was elected as Iran's new President.
Ebrahim Raisi won the 2021 presidential election with a landslide victory, defeating his three other rivals with a wide margin.
Head of Iran's Election Office Jamal Orf announced on Saturday that 28.6 million ballots have been counted until 11:00 am local time June 19. The initial results, Orf said, show that Raisi obtained 17.8 million votes.
Mohsen Rezaei with 3,300,000 votes, Abdolnaser Hemmati with 2,400,000 votes, and Ghazizadeh with 1,000,000 votes rank next, according to the initial results.
Though the final results are yet to be announced, Rezaei, Hemmati and Ghazizadeh have already congratulated Raisi on his victory in separate messages.
The 13th Presidential Election was held on Friday.
