Iran spox confirms meeting of FM Zarif, US' Bill Richardson

Tehran, June 5, IRNA -- Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi on Friday confirmed the meeting between Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and former US ambassador to the UN Bill Richardson.
The meeting has been convened on an American prisoner some months ago, the diplomat added.
Iran has always responded positively to the humanitarian efforts that have led to the release of Iranian hostages in the United States and abroad, he reiterated.
