Tehran (ISNA) - Iran's President chief of staff, Mahmoud Vaezi said what has been previously told about the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action dispute settlement mechanism won't be operationalized.
On the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Vaezi told reporters that High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affair, Josep Borrell's visit to Iran was made upon his own will and good talks were held during the visit.
"He vowed that EU won't reduce its commitments within Iran nuclear deal following US' unilateral withdrawal and continue existing commitments. He also maintained that EU wants good relations with Iran in all areas," Vaezi said.
According to the official, Borrell said EU tries to preserve JCPOA and maintained that there's no deal better than JCPOA. He also called on Iran to hold EU attempts regarding the nuclear deal.
It indicates that what has been previously told about dispute settlement mechanism won't be operationalized.
