Tehran (ISNA) – In a reaction to US President Donald Trump's move to fire National Security Adviser John Bolton, Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif said that he will not comment on the US' domestic issues.

In response to an American reporter's request for a comment on the departure of Bolton, Zarif said, "We will not make any comments on the internal affairs of the United States".

Trump announced on Tuesday via Twitter, "I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House. I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week".

But Bolton denied being fired and insisted that he had resigned.
