Tehran (ISNA) - Iranian First-Vice President Es'haq Jahangiri said only a few hours would be enough for Iran to return to its commitments within the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), but European sides should ask U.S. to lift sanctions instead of calling Iran to stay committed to the deal.
"Only a few hours would be enough for us to implement all of our commitments (within JCPOA), if we want. But in the current situation, Europeans should ask U.S. to give up its tyrannical sanctions against Iran instead of holding meeting with us, asking to return to the nuclear deal," Jahangiri said, stressing that returning of Iran to JCPOA and implementing its commitments is easy.
The senior official said, "Iran has reduced some of its commitments within the nuclear deal to show the world that it's not facing a weak-kneed country, but a civilized and historical nation".
"In the current situation and given the developments occurring in the regional and global stage, Iran's JCPOA partners have no way but staying committed to their obligations and according to the deal, there must be no sanctions against Iran," he continued.
