Defense Minister: Iran to reciprocate US decision

Tehran, April 9, IRNA -- Iran's Defense Minister says that if Americans that have placed the Islamic Republic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as terrorist to execute this foolish measure, Iran based on the pre-planned strategies of system will reciprocate strongly.
In a statement, noting that the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, in accordance with Article 150 of the Iranian Constitution, has a duty to 'guard the revolution and its achievements', Brigadier General Amir Hatami declared, 'US' action contrary to the international laws means countering the constitution that was approved by the vote of the great nation of Iran and is in fact a confrontation with the Iranian nation and the sons of the nation in the Revolutionary Guards."
'The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has been severely attacked by the leaders of the domination system and Zionist regime, in such a way that the criminal and illogical president of the United States considers the Revolution Guards Corps a foreign terrorist organization,' the senior military official said.
'This American action reflects the depth of its failure in the region and hostility to the Islamic revolution and the revolutionary people of Iran, as well as the official support of the takfiri and terrorist currents that have suffered the main losses and the main blow from the IRGC," he added.
'The IRGC, as a ideological institution with a popular base, has been established in order to maintain the principles, values and ideals of the Islamic Revolution, and from the very beginning, with its sacrifice in order to provide security during the holy defense and then with the preservation of unity and integrity along with the champions of the armed forces defended the territorial integrity of the country and defended the achievements of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic,' the Minister of Defense emphasized.
