Tehran (ISNA) – "Before Iran's revolution, we used to produce only 5% of our defense requirement, but today Iran is producing 85% of its armed forces' requirement," Iranian Defense Minister, Brigadier General Amir Hatami said on Saturday.
Mentioning Iran's advanced military achievements during the current Iranian fiscal year, General Hatami added, "We unveiled Fateh Mobin missile, Fakoor air-to-air missile, Hoveizeh long-range cruise missile, Kowsar fighter jets and Fateh submarine this year. Currently, we have modern achievements in defense and nuclear industries".
"We could do what was necessary for our nation in Defense Ministry. During the previous years, we could defeat enemy's strategies in the region. Now they are completely defeated, leaving the region. By relying on our people's support, we won both peace and war," he said.
"Americans wanted to say, Iran's defensive capacities are dangerous for other states, but we proved that we stand beside regional nations and have brought them peace," Iranian Defense Minister added.
