INSTEX registration is hopeful: AEOI chief

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran's head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi described "INSTEX" registration by European countries as "hopeful", saying, "We expect Europeans to take final steps faster".
"Europeans took a hopeful step in economic area. We hope they would pass the way faster. Registering INSTEX is a hopeful step and we expect them to take final steps toward the issue," Salehi said on the sidelines of his visit to exhibition of Iran's nuclear industry.
Mentioning that Iran in capable of designing research nuclear reactors, the official added, "If the neighboring countries are interested in research light water reactors, we can design the device for them and teach them how to produce their own reactors".
Regarding Iran's cooperation with Europeans, Salehi said, "Technical cooperation with Europe goes along well and they have some projects in our country, such as producing the best nuclear security center of west Asia, which they have committed to invest €20 million for it. Although, we have some disagreements, Europeans have their own expectations and we have our own opinions. We move along our own political path".
