IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Dec 29, IRNA -- Iranian experts have made radars that are capable of detecting satellites at the low Earth orbit, said the deputy commander of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Saturday.
Brigadier-Geberal Hossein Salaami who was speaking in a seminar here on Saturday said 'despite scientific, economic and technological sanctions against Iran, we have achieved the modern technologies of the world by relying on our own domestic capacities only.'
He said thanks to absolute reliance on its own capabilities, Iran is now able to destroy warships with its ballistic missiles.
He further noted that Iranian-made drones are able to fly and perform operations 3,000 kilometers away.
The senior IRGC commander also pointed to the countless plots hatched against the Islamic Republic of Iran in post-revolution years and said this was because Iran's revolution changed the geo-politics of the whole world.
