Iran dispatches 58 fleets to Indian Ocean, Gulf of Aden

Tehran (ISNA) – "Basic steps are taken in Makran coasts and continuation of the operation leads to reviving Iran's naval power, records and history," Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said, mentioning that Iran has already dispatched 58 Naval fleets to northern Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden.

Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi pointed to Iranian navy's attempts in fighting against piracy, saying, "We've had fully independent operations in fighting piracy, thousands of kilometers far from our naval borders to achieve security and freedom of navigation and already dispatched 58 Naval fleets to northern Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden".

"We've had such a successful performance that the international community couldn't avoid applauding us and International Maritime Organization has sent us numerous letters of appreciation," the navy commander added.
