Iran to be present in Atlantic Ocean in near future: Commander

Tehran, Nov 3, IRNA -- Commander of the Naval Force of the Iranian Army announced that Iran will be in the Atlantic Ocean in the near future and will do great works.
Brigadier General Hussein Khanzadi said Monday, "We have dispatched 58 flotillas to the Gulf of Aden in interacting with the international community in order to provide security for commercial ships so far."
'So far, flotillas have received many letters of appreciation in fighting piracy,' he added, citing the effectiveness of the Iranian deployments.
The commander of the Naval Farce of Iran's Army added, 'For the past 10 years, my colleagues are on board in the seas and provide the security of barges.'
Admiral Khanzadi pointing out that presence in the open waters means more strategic depth, said that despite the pressure of sanctions, we have become a naval force of deep water, relying on the capacity of the human forces."
