IAEA re-confirms Iran's compliance with JCPOA

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, Nov 22, IRNA -- International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Thursday announced for the 14th time Iran's full compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as the JCPOA.

Based on the final statement of the IAEA's Thursday session, Iran has remained committed to its side under the deal, as it is necessary for it to keep adherence to all its commitments.

"The Agency continues to verify the non-diversion of nuclear material declared by Iran under its Safeguards Agreement," it added.

The JCPOA is an agreement on the nuclear program of Iran reached in Vienna on 14 July 2015 between Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council–China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, United States–plus Germany), and the European Union.

On May 8, the US President Donald Trump pulled the country out of the deal, but the remaining parties strongly criticized the move and stressed that they will remain committed to the JCPOA and keep engagement with Iran.
