Defense Minister: Iran turns to a power in aerial field

Tehran, Oct 9, IRNA -- Minister of Defense and Logistics of Armed Forces Brigadier General Amir Hatami said on Tuesday that Iran has turned to a power in aerial field.
He said that today knowledge-based companies, together with Iran's universities have joined their facilities in defense industry and through coordination are strengthening and promoting aerial fields.
The minister acknowledged preparation for training jet of Kosar-88 with indigenous and domestic design, construction and technology in the near future.
General Hatami said that aerial power is an important and determinable sector of country's defensive might and stressed that in this field different sectors of radar, drone, air defense and air force are among elements of aerial power, gaining noticeable progress in the past 40 years.
