FM spox: US administration getting more isolated day by day
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Sept 27, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Wednesday that US administration is getting more isolated day in day out due to its excessive demands and bullying approach toward other countries.
He made the remarks in reaction to the statements of the US Foreign Secretary Mike Pompeo in a meeting themed 'unity against Iran' and presenting a report on Iran's activities.
"Today, the world and all independent countries are determined to display their resolve for respecting international agreements, international law and their responsibilities for preserving the JCPOA," he said.
Given its permanent policy, Iran has continued to fulfill its commitments under the JCPOA based on wise and logical policy to secure its interests, despite the fact the ill-wishers wanted to prevent Iran from complying with the deal, Qasemi said.
Today, it is the US administration that is getting further isolated due to its excessive demands and bullying policies, he said, noting that the countries' stances in the UN revealed that the US administration has been discredited more than ever.
Pompeo's report contains a reality and it is disappointment of the US officials over failure of their policies to isolate Iran, he said.
US foreign secretary's report does not have something new and all were repetition of the past rhetoric US made over the past 40 years, Qasemi said.
