IRGC commander: IRGC a mighty, deterrent power in Persian Gulf

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, Aug 27, IRNA -- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said on Monday that IRGC naval force as a mighty and deterrent power would play its significant role in the Persian Gulf and Hormuz Strait.

IRGC naval force is now taking advantage of the most sophisticated equipment, tactics and strategies in line with international standards, he said.

It is quite natural for the enemy to avoid confronting with Iran so as not to be harmed, underlined the commander.

The enemy seeks to disappoint people but IRGC members by relying on their revolutionary values and aspirations would instill hope into the society and prevent it from being disappointed, he said.

The status of the revolution is very complicated and sensitive and the enemy has imposed various kinds of sanctions to attain its goal but many of these problems can be easily solved in the country, he said.
