AEOI: Bushehr nuclear plant generates 1000 MW

Tehran, June 10, IRNA -- Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali-Akbar Salehi said on Sunday that Bushehr nuclear power plant generates 1000 megawatt annually.
The annual generation of the electricity takes ten months and two months is also required for maintenance and change of fuel, he said.
Speaking to Irna, a single nuclear power plant cannot meet the requirements of the country, Salehi said.
Presently the country requires 55,000 megawatts of electricity, he said.
