Tehran (ISNA) - The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrooz Kamalvandi stated that Iran is ready for even the worth situation, stressing on the need for Europe’s practical adherence to the claim of preserving the 2015 nuclear deal.

"From the beginning, we tried to preserve all the achievements and infrastructure of the country’s nuclear industry so that we can resume our nuclear activities, if needed," Mr. Kamalvandi said about US’ withdrawal from the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and AEOI’s measures to deal with this action.

"In other words, we would have even prepared ourselves for the worst and most pessimistic situation and hence, if we want to resume our nuclear activities again, there will be no obstacles to our way," he added.

"US President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the JCPOA was flagrant violation of international laws and about Trump’s claims over Iran’s non-compliance with JCPOA, I should say that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is the only body who can judge Iran’s compliance with the nuclear deal and it had confirmed already 10 times that Iran has implemented all its nuclear related commitments under the agreement," Mr. Kamalvandi went on to say.

"In my opinion, US is seeking to justify its wrong measures and the country is not in a position to interfere in IAEA’s works and activities," he said.
