Iran says US withdrawal from JCPOA causes no major problem
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, May 19, IRNA -- The US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) caused no major problem for Iran's nuclear activities.
Iran is progressing forward in cooperation with the European countries and no work has come to a halt after the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal, Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi said on Saturday.
He noted that the doors are open to cooperation with the Europe.
Kamalvandi said that Iran is ready to continue cooperation with the EU if a mechanism for saving the JCPOA without the US is provided.
The AEOI is ready for all scenarios, the official added.
US President Donald Trump announced last Tuesday that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and reinstate nuclear sanctions on Iran.
This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of world peace and security.
