General Safavi: Iran armed forces to thwart enemy's threats
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, May 15, IRNA -- Senior Advisor of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi underlined on Tuesday that the strength of the Iranian people and their mighty armed forces will thwart the enemies' threats and conspiracies.
Addressing a group of army commanders, he said countries and governments should protect their national interests while enemies try to annihilate them through wars.
Regional countries pose no threat to Iran, but the current threats are now imposed by trans-regional powers, he said.
American forces will not be able to overcome our ground troopers as today's wars are short term and with reliance on high technical know-how, Safavi said.
Iran is strong enough to seriously deal with threats imposed by the US or Zionist regime as well as regional powers, he said.
