Tehran (ISNA) – Deputies of the Islamic Parliament of Iran condemned US President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
In a reaction to US' withdrawal from the nuclear deal, Iranian lawmakers issued a statement, saying that that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always stressed on maintaining its nuclear rights while insisted on diplomacy and interaction with the world and once again, the legitimacy of the Iranian nation in this field has been proven.
"The arrogant President of the United States left the JCPOA despite international rules. This decision showed that that American administration, the Zionist regime and some Arab reactionaries are on the same front against Iranian nation," the statement said.
"Today, this mistrust has crossed the borders of Iran and it has been proven that the United States does not even accept international rules. Without doubt, the major test for the world, especially for the European states signatories of the agreement, Russia and China, is to stand against the excessive demands of the US president and to keep the way of dialogue and interaction open or lean towards monopolism and tyranny," according to the statement.
"As representatives of the great Iranian nation, we alongside our leaders will closely pursue the behavior of countries and of course will decide according to the principles governing foreign policy, that is dignity, wisdom, benefits, the national interests and the law of mutual action," the deputies of the Iranian parliament went on to say.
