British FM expresses regret over Trump JCPOA withdrawal
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, May 9, IRNA -- UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson expressed regret over US President Donald Trump recent act to leave Iran nuclear deal.
"Deeply regret US decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal. UK remains strongly committed to the JCPOA, and will work with E3 partners and the other parties to the deal to maintain it. Await more detail on US plan," Johnson wrote on his Twitter account.
US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and reinstate nuclear sanctions on Iran.
This is while most world powers including Russia, China, and European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of world peace and security.
