Turkey: Withdrawal from JCPOA to damage US credibility
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Ankara, May 9, IRNA -- Turkish Presidential Spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said on Wednesday that withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal would damage the international credibility of the United States.
Speaking to reporters, Kalin said that unilateral cancellation of an accord, that has been reached during long negotiations, will damage US credibility.
Noting that Turkey supports a region free of nuclear weapons, he said that this applies to those regional countries possessing nuclear arms.
US decision to walk out of JCPOA will lead to further conflicts and instability in the region, Kalin said.
Noting that there are enough tensions in the region, he said that adding new tensions to the existing ones is not rational.
