Defense minister: No one to pay heed to Trump's rude stands

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, May 9, IRNA -- Iran's Minister of Defense Brigadier General Amir Hatami said on Wednesday that no one will pay attention to the ill-mannered stands adopted by the US president on Iran's nuclear deal which has already been approved by world countries and organizations.

Speaking to a group of managers at the defense ministry, he said the Iranian nation is determined to continue treading its path.

Trump's decision proves that the US has been isolated while losing trustworthiness at international level, he said.

In the past 40 years, the US has always masterminded plots against Iran and Trump's recent decision to withdraw from the JCOPA was in continuation of such plots, the minister said.

Iran is to bolster its military, defense and missiles capabilities in line with its long term programs to serve the country's interest, the defense minister said.
US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and reinstate nuclear sanctions on Iran.

This is while most world powers including Russia, China, and European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of world peace and security.
