Iran to confront US JCPOA withdrawal
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, May 6, IRNA -- Member of the Expediency Council and Supreme Leader's Advisor for International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati said Iran will retaliate if the US walks away from nuclear deal.
Velayati made the remarks Sunday while visiting the 31st Tehran International Book Fair.
Iran has all the options on the table as regard any decision on nuclear issue, he said.
Undoubtedly, Iran will reciprocate and the US will regret, he said.
He also referred to Palestine as the main issue in the region, saying the US President's decision to relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv to the Holy Quds is in fact the 2nd Balfour Declaration.
Unfortunately, in early twentieth century, some of the traitors in the region accompanied the Zionist regime to occupy Palestine, he said adding that today, some reactionaries in the region, specifically the Saudi regime, are working with the United States to relocate its diplomatic mission from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds.
Certainly, Muslims will stand against Balfur 2 exactly the same as Intifada which is underway.
Tunis (the capital city of Tunisia) is the guest city in Tehran International Book Fair that was opened to public on May 2. The fair, spanning an area of 130,000 square meters, will run until May 12. A number of publishers from Germany, China, Italy, Oman, Hungary, Austria, Russia and Iraq are also presenting their books in the fair.
