Russian official: JCPOA implementation will continue without US

Tehran, May 5, IRNA -- A Russian foreign ministry official said on Friday that the US exist from Iran nuclear deal, known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) will leave negative impact on Washington's position.
'This (US withdrawal) will be a breach of the JCPOA and we will continue implementing the deal,' Vladimir Yermakov, Director General of the Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control at Russia's Foreign Ministry said, Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in Moscow quoted Ria Novosti news agency as reporting.
If the United States violates the international agreement already verified by the UN Security Council, it would suffer a blow, Yermakov said, hoping that Washington would make a wise decision in this regard.
The Russian foreign ministry official said the US exit from the JCPOA will facilitate Russian's economic cooperation with Iran, adding that in case of US breach of the deal the UN Security Council sanctions could not be applied to Iran.
