Lavrov: Russia trying to implement Iran deal

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Moscow, Jan 15, IRNA -- Russia is trying to implement Iran nuclear deal completely, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday.

“Hotspot of tensions exists and different regions like the Middles East, Africa and Ukraine are still tensioned,” Lavrov said in a press conference on Russia's 2017 diplomacy.

'US President Donald Trump’s recent claims to sink Iran deal officially known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) brought no stability,' added Lavrov.

“US tends to disregard the demands of the international community by imposing its will on other countries,” he said.

“The approaches adopted by US are mostly suspicious and unfair,” Lavarov noted.

“Their concerns include issues ranging from developing missile defense system to sanctioning other countries,” he said.

He went on to say that Russia together with Iran and Turkey is after paving the way for holding Sochi meeting.

“Attempts are underway for fighting terrorism,” he said referring to success in solving Syria issues.
