Iran unveils new sophisticated radar system

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran has unveiled a new sophisticated radar system called "Afagh" in the presence of Iranian defense minister.

"Today, we are participating in the unveiling ceremony of a sophisticated radar system that has manufactured by Iranian experts," Iranian defense minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said during the unveiling ceremony which was held on Monday.

"This radar in addition to observing the floats up to a range of 200km, can identify air targets," he added.

"The radar system can also monitor and track 100 floating targets simultaneously" General Hatami went on to say.
