Iran blasts US mindset on Iran Deal
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Oct 17, IRNA -- The spokesman of the Iranian government slammed on Tuesday Washington's mindset on Iran nuclear deal, describing it as going to nowhere.
US President Donald Trump's dream about the Iran nuclear deal won't come true, Mohammad Baqer Nobakht said in a press conference.
The world has verified Iran's stance on the July 2015 nuclear agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Nobakht told reporters.
Regarding the issue of the nuclear deal, he said, while the US is on one side, other signatories to the deal remain to be on the other, Iran's government spokesman said.
Nobakht warned against formation of new alignments in dealing with the issue of the landmark international accord.
Presently what tends to be of significance in addressing the issue, is Trump's anti-Iran strategy announced in his speech on Friday, he said.
'And Trump is alone' in his approach towards the Iran nuclear deal, he stressed.
On Oct 13, Trump took a new strategy toward Iran and decertified Tehran's commitment to the JCPOA.
Trump's approach has been criticized by many countries, international bodies, political communities and world media.
