Interior Minister: Europe at odds with US on JCPOA
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Orumiyeh, Oct 14, IRNA -- Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said on Saturday that the latest allegations made by the US president against the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has made the European countries to counter the US.
The endeavors made by parliament, foreign ministry and lofty guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic revolution have enhanced the status of the Islamic Republic of Iran internationally and the solidarity and unity of the Iranian nation should be bolstered day-by-day, he said.
Nuclear talks put an end to the conspiracies masterminded by global arrogance and is a good evidence proving righteousness of the JCPOA in the world, he said.
The emergence of the extremist terrorist groups such as Daesh in the region and harming the security of the Middle East region is rooted in their malpractice, Fazli said.
US President Donald Trump on Friday took a new strategy towards Iran and decertified Tehran's commitment to the 2015 landmark nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Trump's approach has been criticized by many countries, international bodies, political communities and world media.
'Iran nuclear deal is not a bilateral accord and it belongs to no country and no country is able to terminate it,' High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said minutes after Trump's speech on Friday.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a televised message shortly after Trump's speech said his remarks were 'nothing but a handful of baseless and empty allegations against the Iranian nation'.
