IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
New York, Sep 21, IRNA -- US President Donald Trump has insulted the Iranian people and should offer his apologies to the nation, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said.
'We are expecting the US President to apologize for his insults,' President Rouhani told reporters on Wednesday evening before leaving New York for Tehran.
Trump made his maiden speech before the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday (Sep 19), addressing issues such as the Iran nuclear agreement.
He also threatened Iran and North Korea with war.
'America's agenda is to get rid of the independent governments in North Korea, Iran and Venezuela to replace them with puppet regimes that Washington controls, author Stephen Lendman told an Iranian English-language news channel.
