Iranian official stresses reciprocating breach of nuclear deal
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Sep 18, IRNA -- Iranian official underlined adopting reciprocal measures against the US breach of its promise regarding the nuclear deal reached between Iran and the world powers.
'After return of President Hassan Rouhani from his trip to New York, the council monitoring the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached between Iran and G5+1 (the US, the UK, Russia, China and France plus Germany) will convene to adopt proportionate response against US breach of its promises,' member of Iran's Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati said on Monday.
He noted that 'If the US tries to breach his promises, Iran will adopt necessary reciprocal measures'.
US President Donald Trump in the past seventh month has done its best to circumvent the nuclear deal and sabotage it, but other sides of the nuclear deal, in particular the EU, have warned about the consequences.
