Majlis Speaker: Iran to resist US actions
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, July 18, IRNA -- Iran's Majlis (parliament) has approved the urgency of a bill on counteracting "US adventurous and terrorist actions" in the region.
Iranian Members of Parliament approved on Tuesday the single urgency of the bill with 211 affirmative votes.
"The US should understand the message of the overwhelming majority vote against its adventurous and terrorist actions in the region", Speaker of Majlis Ali Larijani sad.
Despite different political tastes and ideas, the MPs are unanimous against US actions and Majlis will stand against such actions as firmly as it can, Larijani added.
The bill was presented as a counteraction against US Senate bill 'Countering Iran's Destabilizing Activities Act' passed on May 15.
