Tehran (ISNA) – Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) announced Tehran-Astana deal for buying 950 tons yellow cake from Kazakhstan which referred to the joint commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
"The deal is supposed to be implemented during three years. It expected that near the 650 tons of the yellow cake shipment will arrive in Tehran directly in two batches of shipment during two years. The remaining 300 tons of this shipment will arrive in Tehran over the third year and will be converted to UF6 gas. It will be again delivered to Kazakhstan and the cost will be paid to Iran," the head of AEOI, Ali Akbar Salehi said.
"The five members of the 5+1 group have announced their written consent to the joint commission but the UK changed its mind at last minutes regarding US election. We are still waiting for the final and written view of London," he added.
Mentioning to receiving carbon fiber as another request of Iran, Salehi said: "the issue is not on the agenda of the joint commission yet because the 5+1 group has set some conditions for selling us carbon fiber which are not acceptable for Iran".
"Iran has opened its way in the atomic energy field and the sanctions were not effective. 70 percent of bank transactions are underway and the money earns from oil sales comes back to Iran easily, three and a half million barrels of oil and condensate export and near the $10 billion of our blocked money has been released," head of AEOI added.
"About $100 billion of Iran's blocked money has been released and we can use it but the money is belonging to various institutions, not just the government or central bank," Salehi continued.
