Iran holds air defense drill

Tehran (ISNA) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps aerospace force on Saturday morning kicked off the main stage of defense drill codenamed "Defenders of Velayat Sanctum".
Following the five days of preparatory steps, the main stage of the exercise started to demonstrate the defensive power, intelligence and readiness against any threat.
The drill held in Semnan province, east of capital Tehran in a public area of 35,000 square kilometers.
According to the reports, this stage of drill conducts in two parts and a range of air defense equipment are utilized in the drill, including homegrown radar and missile systems with various ranges, command and control systems and electronic warfare.
