US visa ban on Iranian nationals reviewed in Majlis commission

Tehran, Feb 1, IRNA -- National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis (Parliament) held an extraordinary session on Wednesday morning to review the visa ban imposed by the US on the Iranian nationals.

Deputies ministers of foreign affairs, defense and intelligence as well as commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force attended the Majlis commission session, Vice-Chairman of the Commission Kamal Dehqani told IRNA here.

Further details about the today Majlis session will be released later, the lawmaker said.

New US President Donald Trump signed a discriminatory executive order on January 27 which bans entry of citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries, including Iran, to the United States.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Tehran is to take 'reciprocal measures' towards the US action.
