Army underlines coordination for any flight

Tehran, Dec 23, IRNA -- Army's Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base in a statement, released on Friday, said any flight on Tehran air should be coordinated with the Base.
Army's Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base statement added that an aircraft, which was on Tehran sky without any coordination, was shot at by the Army's Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base on Friday morning.
Based on investigations, the aircrafts, which was a quadcopter in type and is used usually for aerial filming and photography, was busy preparing a documentary when flying on Tehran sky.
Meanwhile, speaking to IRNA, Deputy Governor General of Tehran Province for Security and Disciplinary Affairs Mohsen Nasaj Hamedani said the quadcopter belonged to an amateur film making group.
The downed quadcopter had entered the Capital Tehran's prohibited airspace due to wind, he noted.
The official said that the film makers should already obtain necessary permission from authorities for flying over the security spaces of the capital.
