Iran seriously following up JCPOA's practical outcomes
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, May 9, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari said Monday that Tehran is trying to solve problems on the way of JCPOA implementation and prepare the ground for benefiting from practical results of the landmark nuclear deal.
Referring to the meetings held by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his US Secretary of State in New York, the spokesman said the two sides had 'held two rounds of talks' which were focused on latest developments concerning the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), particularly those aspects related to Iran's banking and financial activities.
He added that Tehran is following up some technical banking issues related to linking Iran's banking system to the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT). This is a time-consuming process, Jaberi Ansari stressed.
The latest round of talks between Foreign Minister Zarif and his American counterpart was held in New York on April 22.
